A bit About Me
Many things shape my photography…education, work, life. I am a bit obsessed by capturing and sculpting light, experimenting with colours and tone to arrive at the desired concept or style. Pushing and challenging myself to make the photograph that keeps you in that perpetual moment.
I grew up between Scotland and Far East Asia. Later in life, after many years of living in London and the South, I moved back to Scotland. There was a pull to get back… experience the wild and remote nature, which inspires and enriches my imagery. To have close access to some of the most stunning places and backdrops in the world…sometimes in the most unforgiving weather conditions.
My photographic methods span both traditional analogue film and digital, with a focus on producing fine art archival photographic prints.
In 2001, from the iconic publication i-D, I was awarded 1st place in ‘Time In Motion : The search for the next generation of photographic talent’.
In 2017, I was selected as a finalist for the The Association Of Photographers, AOP Awards.

My Print Process
After many years of being frustrated with outsourcing my prints and in return getting substandard quality results, with incorrect colour rendition and poor detail, I decided to produce my own. I developed and evolved my print methods including making my own digital print profiles so that the printed image was true to the digital or film version. I invested in the hardware to create the best print versions of my work, with absolute quality in mind. The paper and inks I use are archival, which means they are of exhibition grade quality, made to last. Every fine art photographic print I make is pressed with an embossed stamp on the image in the corner, a unique mark of my work and copyright.
